What once started as a stapled together black and white zine has turned into a worldwide leading climbing publication. And, it all started in the Gunnison Valley of Colorado.<\/p>\n

After 10 years, and 20 volumes Luke Mehall is returning to Crested Butte to celebrate The Climbing Zine<\/em> with a \u201cZine Thing\u201d at Townie Books on Saturday June 26th<\/sup> at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The evening, which is free to attend, will feature poetry and stories from Mehall, a typewriter writing contest, and stories from the audience.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Mehall is delighted to return to Townie Books<\/a>, where he did his first ever \u201cZine Thing\u201d to celebrate Volume 1, circa 2010. Shortly after publishing Volume 1, Mehall moved to Durango where he continued publishing The Zine<\/em>. He has also written five books and is the host of the Dirtbag State of Mind podcast.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
